finishing off fashion week

understated elegance at Chloe

Hannah MacGibbon paved the Chloe runway with the usual color palate of neutrals, taupe and grey, but really shocked me with the all black leather get-up. The wide-legged trousers paired with conservative tops epitomizes the 70's, and I can't help to imagine these girls with their blown out hair as one of Charlie's Angels.
The sweatpants-inspired knit trousers with the elastic leg openings are by far my favorite from this collection.

Equestrians and Detectives at Hermes
The bowler hats, the umbrellas, the leather gloves... oh, and let's not forget the Birkins... all up on the runway at Hermes. Jean Paul Gaultier combines three of my favorite things for this collection- menswear inspired suiting, leathers furs and exotics skins and a neutral color palette, no complaints on my end.

Scallops and Ruffles at Valentino

I usually find Valentino to be a little too feminine for my liking, but some of the pieces this season definitely struck my fancy. The scalloped edge dress that opened the show was adorable, and the coats with the leather ruffle inserts were right up my alley.
