fight club

picked up the original by Chuck Palaniuk the other day for 25 yuan (I love how everything is so cheap here...), and it's so hard to read the book when the movie is still fresh in my head. I haven't seen the movie in a while, but the images of Norton and Pitt are pretty hard to erase. The book- so far so good, but I can't help but think of these movie scenes when they're described in the book, ie. Norton hugging the guy with the big boobs in therapy, Norton showing up at work with bruises... that's the trouble with all these film adaptations these days, you don't read these great books until you watch the movie, and afterwards, the characters, the environments from scenes in the film just block your imagination- you can't help but to imagine anything BUT.
Ugh. Frustration.
