the closing pieces at Martin Margiela were definitely my favorite, the big fur caps (?) were amazing.
once again another great collection from Margiela, with a play on proportion (look at the pants!!!), and the mesh, and of course, furs. It's also refreshing to see pants that are stick-skinny since those are practically what I live in everyday. These slacks just look so breathable.
I was completely captivated by Roland Mouret's first few looks, the beige and black contrast just never seems to get old. There is never a dull moment with his structural silhouettes paired with the strategically placed drapes and flaps.

Mouret also seemed to rough it up with the big collars on the hooded biker jackets, as well as the hooded velvet dress. The jacket is a little reminiscent of Rick Owens, but nowadays, there are just too many out there (just remember the man who started it first!). Although I may get a little too into the studs, the leather, and the skinny black clothing, I've always loved Roland Mouret. Mouret's stuff is feminine without being overly cliche. It's sexy without sacrificing sophistication.
I love how Alber had all the models wear the black fringe haircut- there is just something about the uniformity of it all that really excites me. Some may say it lets you focus more on the clothes- true, but I also like the little guessing game I play in my head, trying to spot who's who. We had the classic Lanvin looks (above), drapey dress- check, awesome jacket- check, funky jewelry-check.
These pieces, for me, were definitely the show-stoppers and jaw-droppers. The coat-dress that opened the show was something out of a fur-lover's dream. And the sparkle-y, feather-y things from Lanvin just never feel overdone- they're just amazing.

Also found a really nice editorial from French Vogue, starring Rose Cordero and styled by Carine Roitfeld. I remember first seeing Cordero in the T by Alexander Wang catalogue and thinking she was gorgeous. This spread further illustrates the fact...
