I've been looking forward to this day since I had braces, wore sketchers, was in the process of growing out my Asian bowl haircut, and gave my crushes indecipherable code names- needless to say, that was a long time ago. I ventured out to the Beijing Olympics basketball stadium to see the Backstreet Boys reunion tour. They sang some of their new songs, which I must admit I was less than interested in hearing, but they definitely charmed me with their ultimate classics- Shape of My Heart, As Long As You Love Me... etc. I am happy to say that they were AMAZING live, and they still have it! Needless to say, there were multiple instances where I had to strongly refrain myself from screaming "NICK CARTER, I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES!!!".
It was so nice to hear these classic 90's Boy-band love songs again, where the idea of love was so simple, with lyrics suitable for all ages. I don't think there are songs like that anymore (or maybe I've just been listening to my iTunes on repeat for too many years...) it's all either super complicated love songs like John Mayer, or some catchy bang-that-bitch-type song. Definitely brought me back to a different time...
Took some snaps with my little canon, didn't bring my big boy nikon this time, because I figured I wouldn't be composed enough to take some good pics; being a fully dedicated screaming/singing fan takes a lot of effort y'know...
