NY's FW continues... I stay warm in grandma's fur

The Marc Jacobs show finally debuted on style.com today, I've never been a big fan of his runway pieces, but from season to season, he has some amazing knitwear. Last season for spring, I saw these amazing knit sweaters with corsetry backs, and a bunch of clothes with a play on underwear as outerwear (I can never get enough of it... I'm a huge fan of underwear, what can I say?)

But what I found awe-inspiring this season are the fur bags!!! I find it ironic that in this economic turmoil, all these designers are using furs in their collections, whether it be fur collars, trims, bags, coats, jackets or just about anything. I am, however, never one to complain; as a huge fur lover- the more the merrier.
okay, this isn't fur, but still treading into the animal kingdom...

Rad Hourani's collection was also recently posted on style.com, wish I could've seen this up close. The jpeg images and my computer screen just don't do all the beautiful layers of black clothing any justice.

this one is probably my favorite. I love how the jacket has huge lapels, and you can still see all the layers and details in the pool of black.

Wait, on second thought. THIS is my favorite.

Not a huge fan of patent leather, but this one just seems to work.

A few more Tommy shots from NY...

what a beauty!

I must admit I thought it was a JOKE that all these designers were throwing clogs on the runway for Spring 2010, but I really am warming up to the fact, and even considering a pair of these. But one of my fears is that I will be strutting down the street in a pair of gorgeous clogs (... those two words look weird next to each other), and the next thing you know is I trip, and land flat on the floor with a mouthful of pavement. Not pretty.

HK weather is getting even colder, and I am just being lazy. My mom gave me her mother's coat last year, she was a little shorter and wider than me, so the jacket is quite... spacious, and the sleeves look like 3/4's, but it's hard to imagine that coat is probably just as old as my mother!
