blogging from Beijing

Beijing... this city's acronym is going to be fun to say for a long time to come, that is because I still probably have the mind of a thirteen year old. heh... BJ

Landed in Beijing (there, I refrained myself) a couple days ago, settled in the apartment- was harder than I imagined, but everything is pretty much ready to go.

After battling with the guy who installed my internet (who I am convinced is severely lacking in the departments of common sense, personal hygiene and internet set-up) for a good hour or so, I am back online and it feels good. Though I must admit it felt good to be detached from facebook... for a hot second.

Managed to play around on style.com and photoshop, but let me preface these pictures by saying...
BURBERRY PRORSUM SHEARLING BUCKLE BOOTIES, YOU WILL BE MINE.
I must admit I've never been a DIEHARD Christopher Bailey fan, his past collections have been consistently good, but I guess I've never been truly WOW-ed by his collections, until now. From the duffle coats, the pleated shirt-jackets, to the military double breasted jackets... and finally, we arrive at the buckled shearling booties... or the python thigh-high boots... whichever route you take- will result in a happy ending, just like a dirty massage, except this, ironically, will probably cost more.

just had to end on a note with my girl, Freja, she's so amazing.

Also saw some nice Matthew Williamson pieces on style.com before I left Hong Kong, I feel kind of wrong ending this post with something sorta mediocre in comparison to the Prorsum, but I will do it anyway- since I've already spent the time making clip masks of them on photoshop.

And lastly, some Jak and Jil porn. *Just to clarify, Tommy's photos are taken at the various Fashion Weeks that have been happening this past month, they are not taken from Asia. These images below are from his blog (www.jakandjil.com/blog)

understated elegance
throw a fur coat over your sweats, and you're ready to go. just don't forget your lizard skin Muse 2... yeah, can't leave the house with less than one dead animal on ya

close up: Kirkwood for Rodarte, was definitely nice to see the dripping candle wax detail on the heel... more points for Rodarte.

Spent a few hours at 798 today, took my new Nikon for a spin, pictures to come!
